We ventured out one afternoon and walked downtown for window shopping and coffee, while Daddy stayed home with our little guy. It was a wonderful week of catching up. I loved seeing Beth as an auntie. She loves her new role, as I'm sure you can tell!
We all enjoyed our Thanksgiving together as a family. It had been several years since Beth was able to spend it with us. We were very sad Tim's parents weren't able to make it, but with the weather the way it has been, it was for the best. We look forward to a later visit, hopefully.

Sunday morning we dedicated Oliver at church. Other than a case of the hiccups he did very well up in front of everyone. It was a blessing to have my family with us.

~ That afternoon the church blessed me and Oliver with a shower. ~

Oh, this post makes me teary on so many different levels! Your joy at being able to share your life and quality time with Beth...the utter grace and beauty of Oliver's dedication (LOVE the sepia photo!! it makes my heart ache)...imagining your delight at his quilt. I'd forgotten how busy this past week was for you. Oliver is looking more and more like a little person and less like a baby--I really see your side of the family in his face, Anns.
ReplyDeleteI am now SO antsy to see you that I'm going to try to scheme a way to get across the mountains before the snow melts!
Oh Nan...feeling a bit a cabin fever myself, in seeing Oliver's dear baby boy face...and knowing that I am just a couple short hours away from getting to meet your precious little son.
ReplyDeleteLoved reading this post so much and seeing you and Beth loving on that dear baby boy together.
His dedication and shower were so very sweet. Love how very special that quilt must be to you.
Loving all of it. And I am just so sorry it hasn't worked out for me to come visit yet.
P.S. Nikki...if you flew into Spokane for a quick trip I would be more than happy to transport you to little Oliver and co. :)
I love reading your blog. It fills my heart with such joy! I know our stop was very brief...but it was great to see you and meet your little man. How did your tea go? I would love to hear all about it. I will start drinking tea again on Dec. 14th and will then read that little book you passed on. Blessings on you precious friend!
